Our 2023 and 76th annual Evergreen Chrysanthemum show is a wrap! Thanks again to all the show patrons and ECA volunteers. You all contributed to a successful and popular show!
Due to the late blooming season in the Pacific Northwest region this year, with sheltering, heat and care, we should be able to enjoy beautiful blooms until Thanksgiving.
I have found that cut blooms will last longer if the vase water is changed every 3 to 4 days and the stem is snipped off about a half inch with each water change.
In the Pacific Northwest we had wonderful fall growing conditions – warm days, cool nights and just enough rain to keep our gardens going. This past week we got our first overnight freezing temperatures. This is the type of chilling weather will kill our Chrysanthemum plant stools if they are not sheltered in a cool dry location. I hope you are all hunkered down safe and warm.
Our November meeting cultural notes focus on taking care of our stock for next year’s cuttings.
Hi Adrien,
Yes I remember you and Michelle McGuire. Because you joined ECA at our fall show you membership is paid through 2024. We look forward to seeing you at our monthly meetings. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Sue
Hello Sue,
My name is Adrien Herrmann. I met you at your 2023 and 76th annual Evergreen Chrysanthemum show on Sat Nov 4. At that time, me and my friend Michelle McGuire each paid $15 cash to join your Association. We was told no receipt were given, and we acknowledge that.
I know you have been super busy. But anyway, I trust that you remember our payment and let me know that so we do not need to pay our membership fee twice.
Warm regards. Adrien and Michelle.
