Chrysanthemum Growing Cycle

Chrysanthemums are one of those plants where the younger the stock the better the growth rate and flower density.  For this reason our club propagates new plants every year from last years stools.  Here’s a diagram of the Chrysanthemum growing cycle.  This is the process followed to successfully propagate mums each year.

Maryam, ECA has an annual spring plant sale. In 2025 it will be held at Volunteer Park Conservatory on Saturday April 12th between 9am and 3pm. For over 77 years the mission of ECA is to promote chrysanthemum propagation in the PNW. With this in mind our plant starts are always very reasonably priced. We have not set our pricing for our 2025 plant sale yet but last year we sold plant starts 3 for $10 or $4 each. Hope to se you at our spring plant sale.
